"Just a very nice experience. I've stayed in several hotels in Shanghai, this was the nicest in terms of value and quality. My only complaint was that they were remodeling the exterior of the building, and they started early in the morning on some days. But I recommend this hotel to anyone in the Jing An area. Very nice."

"I booked a twin room for my teenage 2 children who were travelling from Japan to New Zealand via Seoul and Shanghai. They said the staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke some English. The room was clean and tidy - they had a great sleep. The buffet breakfast was lovely and although it was predominantly meat-based, there were enough vegetarian options for them to be satisfied - including vegetarian steamed buns! The hotel itself was very nice, lovely decor and the location was fantastic, so easy to find, right at the airport - you can't get any closer than that! The wi-fii was easily accessible - use Bing instead of Google (its blocked in China) and you'll have no problems with access. The staff offered to hold their baggage while they did a day trip into Shanghai and gave them a ticket to produce when collecting their bags later. In summary the children said it was a great stay and would definitely recommend it. All of the staff were so helpful. Thank you so much Da Zhong Pudong Airport Hotel for taking such good care of my children!"

"It was a tough decision for my friend and I to choose hotel in Shanghai knowing the standard and rate in China can be quite different from other countries. We glad that we chose Grand Central despite some reviews said it has slow wifi. We had no problem with it and in fact even VPN works well for me. We love the fact that it is near Nanjing east station and it is very convenient (Family Mart is just behind the hotel, shopping district is just less than 5 minutes). It only cost us about RMB170 from Pudong airport to the hotel but it costs more from hotel to airport (RMB220).The only thing is we book the promo rate which is without breakfast, so can comment much on the food. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We will definitely go back if we are going to Shanghai again."

"I love everything about this hotel. Great staff, lovely room, great location. Situated on the shopping Mall where the shops are. 10 minute taxi to the Fabric Market and 10 minute taxi to French Concession or a short train ride. Train line 2 minute walk from the hotel. The Bund is a 10 minute walk straight down the Mall. I would always stay at this hotel in Shanghai. "

"The hotel building looks old from the outside but the rooms seems to have been renovated not that long ago and seems new. For the price, I think you will be mostly satisfied with this hotel even though of course there will be better hotels in Shanghai at a higher price. The staff are polite and efficient even though communications in English may be difficult for them but that is a problem you will encounter in many places in Shanghai."

"I have stayed in other hotels in Shanghai previously but this hotel I would say is the best so far in terms of location, cleanliness, helpful staff, good food served at the restaurant and also strong WiFi signal in room. This hotel so near to the Bund just 8-10 minutes walk and many shopping outlets also within walking distance with the famous Nanjing Street just a stone throw away. I will definitely stay at this hotel from now onwards. For anyone still searching for a hotel in Shanghai, I recommend this hotel without reservation. "

"It was my first time to stay at CitizenM. Location is convenient that it was closed to a huge shopping mall (about 5 mins walk). Suitable for business traveller and people who would like to explore the Hongqiao dist. as it’s closed to National Convention Centre and Hongqiao airport. A young and energetic hotel that brighten our trip in Shanghai. The room surprised me as it was very smart that I could customise lights, AC, blinds, media via an iPad. In addition, I liked how the bathroom used aircraft-like materials and looked very refreshing. We had a lot of fun staying at citizenM with its facilities and its artistic interior design and ornaments. The breakfast was also delicious and my friends and I loved it! Would recommend it to friends and family. "

"A very pleasant stay. Agoda could have given better instructions to find the hotel. It isn't immediately obvious when entering the airport. It certainly isn't 30 metres from some entrance. But it seems easy once you find it. The airport staff are not particularly helpful in helping you find it. Most don't even know! But the hotel is a kind of oasis in the airport. It really is pleasant. No complaints here. If you must commute to another location in China from Shanghai and need to be at this airport, this is the best choice. "

"If you will be taking the free shuttle service, exit at T1 Gate 8 on the 1st floor (or i think Gate 27 for those at T2). There will be no signs to where you should wait but just wait right in front of the exit of Gate 8. The shuttle bus of Shanghai Deco is a LIGHT BLUE mini bus that arrives every 20-30 mins, don’t get on the big buses because those are for other hotels/locations. We found it difficult to figure out where to go because no one speaks and understands english when we asked about the shuttle despite showing them the name of the hotel. Another tip: If you will be going around and need to speak to locals, load a translator on bing.com (google does not load in China). This will save you a lot of time from repeating yourself to locals who don’t understand english. "

"We were staying in Shanghai for 2 nights and booked this service apartment after getting a good rate online. And it was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Though a service apartment, it is no less than a 4 star hotel. Clean room, with washing machine, microwave, hot plate and a rice cooker. English speaking staff, great breakfast and great location. Just a 1-2 minutes walk away from MTR subway station. There is a shopping center right next to the hotel with KFC, Starbucks, a bakery, a noodle bar and local fruit shops around, this location is really really nice. I had my 3.5 year old kid with me and staying in this hotel was so comfortable. We cooked food, washed laundry and it was a home away from home. Metro ride to Nanjing street just costs 3 RMB per person vs 20 in the taxi. I am definitely staying here whenever I'm back in Shanghai!"
